Mel Ramsey - Chief Executive Officer
Mel Ramsey is the Chief Executive Officer of the Danshell Group, having been appointed as of April 2016.
Mel has a wide range of experience with more than 20 years within the healthcare sector. She joins Danshell from New Century Care, where she managed a business with 27 care homes, supporting more than 1200 people. Other roles include senior positions at Embrace Group and Craegmoor, part of the Priory Group.
A qualified nurse, Mel has significant experience developing and maintaining robust clinical governance systems and a proven track record in delivering market leading services in the sector.
Mel works alongside her fellow directors to ensure that Danshell continues to provide the very highest quality of care and support to service users.
Clynt Hall - Finance Director
Clynt is the Finance Director of Danshell Group, having been appointed in July 2016.
Clynt has extensive experience in senior finance roles and healthcare, having previously worked for Bupa's Care Services division, who at the time operated around 300 care homes and supported over 18,000 residents. Prior to that, Clynt worked for a number of other successful multi-site businesses.
As a qualified accountant, Clynt has had a wide range of experience leading finance teams and supporting businesses to enable them to grow and ultimately improve their financial performance.
Clynt is Dad to two young children, and enjoys spending his time outside of work having some quality time with his family.
Dr Jane McCarthy - Medical Director
Dr Jane McCarthy is Danshell's Medical Director, appointed in September 2016. Jane brings with her more than 20 years’ experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist working with people with learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.
Jane said, “To join Danshell as the Medical Director is a very exciting opportunity for me. This is a key role in a forward thinking organisation providing excellent care and support for people with a learning disability and autism. The reason why I chose to work with the team at Danshell is to be a strong influence in an organisation committed to delivering the very best in care.”
When not at work, Jane likes to sail and relax on the sea, and also enjoys supporting her favourite football team, Liverpool.
Ori Zaidman - Corporate Service Director
Ori is an Air-Force veteran (Major) who retired from service and joined Danshell in 2011. With his extensive military operational leadership background, Ori leads the expansion strategy in Danshell and is now in charge of all operational, financial and corporate integration processes in the expanding Group.
Marie Greenberry - Director of Nursing and Governance
With a wealth of experience, Marie has managed and led learning disability nursing practices across health and social care sectors for people with a learning disability, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and complex needs.
Having worked in the industry for the past 36 years, Marie has had numerous roles including senior nursing posts, general management, Consultant Nurse, and Director of Nursing and Governance within the NHS and independent sector organisations.

Kirstie Jones - Director of HR & Training
Kirstie leads strategic, tactical and operational decision making across Danshell Healthcare for HR and Training and is a key contributor to special initiatives, projects and continued organisational development within Human Resources.
A CIPD member, with over 20 years hands on operational HR, legislative, and best practice knowledge – Kirstie advises Danshells board of Directors as well as the Senior Management Team across the group.

Karen Urwin - Director of Operations North East
Karen Urwin, Director of Operations for the North East, has been employed at Danshell for 2 years. She has more than 30 years experience in both the Public and Private Care sectors at various levels but for the past 12 years has worked at a Senior Operations Level.

Melinda Glover - Director of Operations South East
Melinda has worked within the social care field for 24 years, the past 12 of which as a senior manager across the statutory, voluntary and commercial sectors. Melinda has experienced a number of fields in her career such as Mental Health, Older People, Children and Adult Learning Disability and specialist services, predominantly within the fields of learning disability, physical disability and autistic spectrum disorder. Melinda has previously worked in Operational Management Roles, specifically with failing services, and Project management and Service Improvement Roles in Quality Assurance.
In her Role as the Director of Operations for the South East, Melinda aims to give person centred, quality care to those we serve by supporting her staff and maintaining excellent standards throughout our services.

Sharena Record - Director of Operations Midlands
Sharena strives to achieve, develop and maintain a quality work ethic through ongoing monitoring, supervision, reflection, audit, clinical governance and by patients, family and commissioner’s feedback & reports.
Sharena has a systematic approach to her work. She is non-judgmental, sensitive and approachable to the needs of others. With a practical approach to problem solving, Sharena is regarded as self-motivated, organised and more then capable of working under pressure, by her peers.
She strives to utilise her own enthusiasm and positive attitude to motivate both staff and patients, and to provide practical support to cultivate productive working relationship.

Mandy Falconer - Director of Operations Scotland and Hexham
Mandy has worked in healthcare for almost thirty years after qualifying as a registered learning disabilities nurse. Throughout her working career Mandy has worked across NHS and the private sector managing care services in England and Scotland.
For a period of ten years Mandy worked as a regulator with CQC and the Care Commission before it changed to the Care Inspectorate, which will support her in this exciting new role with Danshell.
Mandy strives to promote good working relationships with external stakeholders and positive working relationships with all her services and the staff teams working within them. Over the last few years Mandy has worked as an Operations Manager overseeing 8 care services which has enabled her to focus on quality assurance and promoting excellent standards of care
In her role as Director of Operations for Scotland and Northumberland Mandy aims to provide support and guidance and promote excellent standards of care across all the services. To be approachable and promote person centred care for all the people using the services.

Anne Benfield - Head of Relationship Management
After qualifying as an Occupational Therapist, Anne gained experience in Operational Management working in different areas of the healthcare industry, including 13 years in the NHS and across medium and low secure provisions with other healthcare providers. She has worked in East of England secure commissioning, as a part of the development group on ‘care pathways’. She has also worked in Relationship Management roles over the past 6 years with services to develop environments that meet service user needs in the right place at the right time.
Since joining Danshell in 2013, as Head of Customer Relationships, Anne has worked across the Midlands and South East developing positive relationships with commissioners within CCG’s and local authorities. She supports Operations Directors and services to increase external communication flow and the development of therapeutic pathways.
